1. jemille weeks- in my opinion weeks is a quicker player than his brother rickie weeks who currently plays for the milwaukee brewers. i watched him play back in 07 and he is pretty good, but his speed is there. he could use a little more weight but his speed is where it needs to be. though i remember reading reports in the past that he was an average fielder is different because his fielding seems to be alright.
2. Levon Washington- a very top solid player that has great foot work and speed from tampa. the kid can run, too bad he missed out last year during the 09 draft, but this year the indians i believed may have took a chance on him. the kid has a good personality off the field he is a likable prospect and his on field tactics is great.
3. montaous Walton- a wonderful talent from Milwaukee WI, Walton was more of an underrated type prospect that put up good numbers at the south florida academy that he was attending. watching him perform down in florida made me wanna come and watch again all because of his 6.3 speed i witnessed. although he was not a highly regarded guy like most he proved to be one of the most talented and quickest guys to play with the best of them.
4. tim bechkam- the former number one overall draft pick in 08, was a good player with wheels on him as well. the rays have a good talent in him, he can turn heads with his speed as well. i enjoyed watching this guy. he has what it takes to play at the next level.
5. D' Marcus Ingram- a very talented kid in the cardinals organization, whom i seen play back in 06. the cardinals have a great player in ingram, with lots of potential. he can run, hit and do it all. right now he is doing well for quad cities and from what i hear just received a monthly honor. i wish the kid luck in the their system.
nice selection Dillon, although it is more prospects who are fast as well. these five guys are only a handful, but overall the speed is whats really coming back to the game of baseball which i think is a good thing.
all these guys have talent, and speed is one of the important factors in the game today. i love to watch speedy players do their thing on the basepaths.
walton i never really heard of but overall i dont know the actual situation with him and the twins, but i think he has what it takes to become that player that he can be, however many teams i know of have heard of him and said he does have tremendous speed. i know one thing he proved doubters wrong after attending the academy and excelling the way he did....otherwise no one would have knew about him.
